The international organizations, to which the KNAS belongs, on behalf of the Nation, include the International Science Council (ISC), the Inter Academy Partnerships (IAP), The Inter Academy Council (IAC). The Inter Academy medical panel, (IAMP), In addition to engaging with NASAC and other African Academies, KNAS also collaborates with the Royal Society, the US National Academies, the Beijing Association of Science and Technology (BAST), the Beijing Academy of Sciences (BAJST) and the Korean Academy of Sciences (KAST), the World Academy of Sciences Sub Saharan Africa Regional Partner (TWAS-SAREP), World Futures Federation (WFSF) and International Foundation for Science (IFS).
KNAS is an active member of these organizations, and pays annual contributions regularly as required. KNAS is also a key member of the Network of African Science Academies (NASAC) which is domiciled in Kenya, and most Fellows of KNAS are also Fellows of the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) which is also domiciled in Kenya.
