Prof. Shaukat Ali Abdulrazak is a distinguished expert in Agricultural Sciences, specializing in Animal Science. He holds a PhD in Animal Science from the University of Aberdeen, UK (1995), and an MSc in Animal Nutrition from the same university (1991). He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Animal Nutrition at the University of Aberdeen (1990), and a Diploma in Animal Husbandry from Egerton University (1987).Currently, Prof. Abdulrazak serves as the Director of the Division for Africa, Technical Cooperation Department at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna. His previous roles have been highly influential, including his tenure as Vice Chancellor of Umma University (2014-2015) and Director General of the National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) from 2008 to 2014. He has also served as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension at Egerton University (2002-2007), and Chairman of the Department of Animal Science at Egerton (2001-2002).Prof. Abdulrazak's academic career began as a Lecturer and later a Senior Lecturer at Kilifi Institute of Agriculture (1987-1996). He rose from Lecturer to Full Professor at Egerton University (1997-2005). He is a member of the Kenya National Academy of Sciences (FKNAS No: 149) and continues to make significant contributions to the advancement of agricultural sciences and animal science globally.
